This is a Brilliant story of coming to terms with things that are not in Your control to start with! Reading how Pen rediscovered her "sight" (her ability to think for herself) and her faith in God and miracles made me realize how much I needed to "see" a few things myself! This is not an overly religious book so please give it a try...if you like a mystery with a bit of a twist on the who done it you will enjoy this book a lot.Product details

A fascinating look into the lives of " the ladies who lunch" and their soul mates.It held my interest from the beginning. We could do well to hear more from this insightful new author.
Evanovich's Diesel but not as funny. Book skips around too much....but light hearted has a good message....to keep thinking positive.
I was disappointed by the end. I was also disappointed by all the posturing and posing around in the book. There are really nice people around who happen to be rich and this book really painted everyone in a really bad light. Everything also seemed pretty incomplete. Never got to see what happened to Sam or Pen's mother, for instance. Logan also popped out of the blue for me. And what about Brilliant? the premise of the book kind of focus on him but he never really shows up..just more posturing and posing.
This is a fast look at all the neurotic traps we get caught up in. Delightful! You won't be disappointed.
I guess I expected too much with all the 5 star reviews or then again, maybe I'm just harder to please. It was certainly not the worst book I've ever read but I definitely didn't think it rated 5 stars. Had a hard time keeping the characters straight in the beginning and almost thought about not reading the rest of it. That should have been my first clue. I thought it was a little far fetched to say the least and am still not sure where the ending came from. Seemed to me like there were a few things that needed wrapping up before the happy ending, like did Pen's husband go to jail or what? Would I recommend this book to others? No, not really.
A delightful mix of funny, happy, suspenseful, sad, all bound up in an easy-read tale of affluent suburban life. Our heroine struggles to understand the true meaning of life and happiness but never loses her sense of humor. A great, lighthearted read.
I can't say this was a bad book because it wasn't and I can't say this was a great book because it wasn't that either. It was.....ok. I didn't find myself connecting with the main character as she was bland and predictable. I didn't dislike her either I just didn't care. If you're looking for a .book that's an easy read then I'd say this might be a book for you. Would I read another book by this author? Probably. If I didn't find myself connecting then I'd assume that his author just isn't for me but I wouldn't put her down and suggest others not give her a chance. Actually, as I'm writing this it dawned on me that this might be a decent book for high school girls transitioning past the mysteries that seem to be geared towards Tweens and early teens. It's not full of blatant sex scenes or gratuitous foul language like so many books are today. Maybe I'll suggest book/author to the school librarian. I hope this rather rambling review was helpful (
